my art

my art is mostly original character/story work and pet portraits (NOT fanart or fan ocs). i like to do painterly and more semi-realistic work, and enjoy capturing characters' shapes and subtleties.

i don't do comms anymore, but i'm generally down for art trades! i'm a pretty busy person but i enjoy trades and usually am not picky as long as i see that you can capture my characters well - equal effort for equal effort preferred

my writing

i use my writing as a way to express my own experiences and explore the world around me, even with my fantasy work. much of it is still kept private, but my toyhouse account has plenty in the public. i keep my social media to 16+ audiences due to the more mature themes explored in much of my work.

world of beasts is the project that is the face of my accounts. it's a big anthology and worldbuilding project with a good friend, and home to some of my dearest characters

still worth something is a story that's been through a lot of overhauls and is written from my experiences with disability. its most complete version was a nanowrimo project in 2020, and as such does not provide a flattering view of humanity, but takes on a hopeful tone of building connections and doing right by others while staying true to yourself

DOWNFALL is a much more recent, still in development story, and has a much more cynical tone to many of the same themes explored in sws. it explores how easy it is to lose who you think you are when faced with hatred, desperation, and daily threat to your life.

the aevis series is a self-published series of three books (only one available currently) that goes back to middle school. it's a fantasy series about a society of dogs, and follows several families through a major war and its aftermath, keeping hopeful tones focused on friendships and community

my crafts

most of what i make is dog gear (no online shop currently, sorry) and embroidered patches, but i do a little of everything. clothes here and plushes there, just kind of whatever i feel like. dog collars and simple patches i feel comfortable doing by commission, but don't currently have set prices for. i'm also willing to try a lot of things for trade, including unequal (art for plush/embroidery) so long as it's balanced and you're willing to cover shipping!

my dog

angel is my pride and joy, as well as my service dog in training (and we may try sports soon)! i'm not comfortable giving out details of my disabilities online, nor am i comfortable giving training advice as i am not a professional and have paid them for guidance with his training. i am more willing to talk about what i looked for when choosing his breed, breeder, and trainers as well as equipment choices. he's a purebred standard poodle born in february of 2022 and has been with me since the following may. also worth adding i have a lot of criticism of service dog communities online and don't enjoy hanging around them hence why i post so much of him on my art accounts :')
